Tiny HDD VPS - What to do?

Have a KVM VPS with only 1GB of HDD space and after installation of the system I roughly ended up with 200MB ~ 300MB of hard drive space.

Now the challenging part is I will need to compile some stuff (custom software stack) that will probably chew up at least 1GB of space during compilation (obviously a lot less space to install). So obviously I can't do it on the HDD of the VPS itself.

Is there any way I can compile this by somehow "borrow" the HDD space of other VPS that I have?
