Android - Best task automation app?

I am thinking of having my Android phone perform some automation tasks, say for example, when I am in the range of my home wifi, turn on the PC, etc etc.

Is there any recommendations with the kind of app that would be able to do that? I can do some basic scripting tasks. The only thing I have found so far is:

http://code.google.com/p/android-scripting/

but I am not sure if it is good.

I have used Tasker in the past. It's somewhat hard to setup, but it does work well.

But is this more time-based (i.e., do this at 3pm) than event-based (i.e., do this whenever the connection is on wifi)?

It has a good mix of time based, location based, and network/WiFi based triggers.

Thanks, I'll give it a try!

Have been trying Tasker for the past few days, absolutely fantastic app. The initial configuration is so easy and there is built in ability to use the SL4A scripts for the coding monkeys and tonnes of basic actions you can use for the less techie ones, great app!
