Buying 500px premium memberships

Just wondering how many of you here actually have a premium membership from say 500px or flickr or do you normally host your own image gallery?

I just got an email saying 500px will up the price on their premium memberships on May 1, so if I need anything I should be buying now. Self-hosting is obviously an alternative but I prefer to trust my pictures to someone else doing this for a living rather than building my own infrastructure of setting up an image gallery and backing things up myself.

What is your take on this?

I used to have Flickr Pro and it worked out well. It had unlimited uploads and a decent image viewer so that I can see all of that I have uploaded. It worked and was pretty cheap. I have used the free 500px service, but haven't tried their paid version.

I looked into 500px but it's TOS were imho unacceptable.

By that same context I guess google is evil too, but they are both great pieces of software that we all use everyday.
