Moto X launched, anyone interested in getting one? - zhuanyi - 08-02-2013 So here is the specs: http://www.knowyourmobile.com/motorola/motorola-moto-x/19975/moto-x-offical-specs-price-and-release-date-confirmed First Motorola phone after they've been bought by Google. To me not having a memory card expansion slot is a big turn-off (which I think is going to happen to all of the "official" Google phones, i.e., Nexus). What do you think? RE: Moto X launched, anyone interested in getting one? - concerto49 - 08-03-2013 It's cheap. That's it. Old last generation hardware etc. If I was in the market I rather get something that lasts a few years even if more expensive. HTC One / Galaxy S4 and upcoming Galaxy Note 3 seems more attractive. RE: Moto X launched, anyone interested in getting one? - zhuanyi - 08-16-2013 I ended up getting one of those HTC One X: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/UNLOCKED-HTC-One-X-LTE-16GB-in-Black-like-NEW-MINT-Global-shipping-/321184685572?ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:CA:3160 I think it gives me much better value for money than MotoX, even though it is slightly older. My first attempt in using a phone of this size, hopefully it will end up well. Experience so far...I am not sure TBH, it could be because the custom ROM I am using but it seems rather unresponsive sometimes. However when I was playing games on it, it seems really fast. Kind of weird, I guess I just need to give it a bit more time for the ROM to optimize the performance on this baby. RE: Moto X launched, anyone interested in getting one? - concerto49 - 08-20-2013 Not bad. I've only got a Galaxy Note 2. It's annoying sometimes when going out with shallow pockets. RE: Moto X launched, anyone interested in getting one? - zhuanyi - 08-20-2013 Reflashed mine using the CyanogenMod and all in a sudden the device is flying! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382933 I guess little surprise there since the original update package from HTC was like 600MB in size and the CyanogenMod was like less than 200MB: http://get.cm/?device=evita |
